True Faith and Devotion can never be purposeful #mydancestory 37

Today as I post this write, wherein two of my very young students Saipriya Nandi Purkayastha and Charvi B. Kashyap who won 2nd and 1st prize respectively in a State level (Assam) Indian Classical Dance competition, organised by a Guwahati based organization, my sole purpose of mentioning about them in this #mydancestory 37 is about their sheer devotion, faith, love and most importantly 'SACRIFICE' they made towards me. Why did I used the term 'sacrifice'? Yes, they stick to my vision and stayed away from all the surrounding glitters which many students and even their parents fall prey for in my absence or through infatuation or persuasion.

When I left Guwahati for New Delhi during my appointment as the Director, Kathak Kendra, some of my students left their class as their parents thought my touch with their child will gradually vanish and hence will be left nowhere. Although at a very tender age like 6, 7, 9, 10 years of age my students very fluently recites Bol Padhant on live music with Hasta Kriya amidst hundreds of audiences and this they presented in the 7th CHIMERA 2022 grand finale.

Keeping aside all of these, if I come to the main point, what makes students like Saipriya and Charvi stand upright with their passion and achievements even in my regular absence, whilst maintaining their soberness and holding themselves back from the ongoing glamorous race that keeps on happening in the city, is the structured learning techniques, focused attitude and true love for their dance art which was imparted to them at the very beginning of their training. And undoubtedly a huge applause primarily also goes to their parents too! And Kaushik Dutta a young Kathak talent who through his humbleness and sincerity is taking care of my classes as per our module in my absence. Faith and devotion can never be PURPOSEFUL it can only be blossomed through TRUST.

I never hold them back from attending any Kathak dance workshops organized by other dance schools, because true learning cannot grow within confined boundaries. It has to surpass horizons to understand its genre in the infinite universe. Even I never stop them from attending other Guru's masterclasses, because I do not fear loosing them. If they have FAITH in me, they will always remain with me. And faith can never be purchased through offering exclusive gifts in Guru Purnima or accepting donations offered in annual events to make them stand in the first few lines or demeaning other Guru's calibre or even racing in illegitimate conditions. Faith is intuitive that results into logical embarkment. And I personally am a person who silently witnesses loyalty and hence indulge into everlasting partnerships. Jai Maa Kamakhya!
